Dear Peterson Families,
Welcome to the 2026–27 school year! I am so excited and honored to join the Peterson Elementary community as your new principal.
As we begin our year together, one of my biggest priorities is getting to know our students, families, staff, and the wonderful community that makes Peterson such a special place. For some of you, this may be the first message you are receiving from me, so I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share how excited I am to be here!
As your principal, I am committed to being present, approachable, and supportive. I also understand how important consistency is for our students and families. As I learn more about Peterson, I will spend time listening, asking questions, and learning about the traditions, strengths, and culture that already make our school community so special.
I truly believe that a strong school is built through relationships and partnership. Families are an essential part of a child's educational journey, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure our students feel safe, supported, connected, and excited to come to school each day.
Our PTA is an important part of that partnership. The time, energy, and support of our families help create so many of the experiences and opportunities that make school memorable for our students. I encourage you to find ways to connect and become involved that work for your family. Whether you volunteer, attend an event, join PTA, or simply stay connected to what is happening at school, your involvement matters and is appreciated.
I know the beginning of a new school year comes with a lot of information, new routines, and sometimes a few questions along the way. Please know that our staff and I are here to support you and help make the start of the year as smooth as possible.
I look forward to meeting you at drop-off and pick-up, seeing you at school events, celebrating our Dolphins together, and continuing to build relationships with our families.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Peterson community and am looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, connection, growth, and partnership.
In partnership,
Vanessa Angeles Principal
