• Protecting the integrity of the school is integral to its success. Activities and comments must never compromise the high integrity of this school as an instructional institution that serves children. The activities of the sponsor must be consistent with the mission, programs, purposes and standards of the district, the school, and the PTA.
• Sponsors and their activities must not be incompatible with or reflect negatively on the district, the school, and the PTA its mission or its policies. The activities of the sponsor must not constitute any real or apparent conflict of interest and must not be in conflict with any provisions of federal, state or local laws and regulations.
• Be kind and considerate to others.
• Do not insult or put down the district, administration, staff, faculty, PTA, or students.
• We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
• We do not tolerate harassment in any form. This includes offensive comments related to the categories above, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, violent threats or language, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior is also not acceptable.
• Don’t publish individual photographs of people without their consent.
• Be careful in the words that you choose.

• The Sponsor agrees that it will not make written or oral references to school sponsorship that directly or indirectly create the appearance that the sponsor has special access to or influence over school policies, leaders, or members.
• The Sponsor agrees that it will not make written or oral references to school sponsorship that directly or indirectly create the appearance that the sponsor’s products or services are endorsed by school, its leaders, or its members.
• The Sponsor agrees that it will not knowingly provide content that is misleading or false.
• The Sponsor agrees that it will not engage in conduct that is contrary to the mission and ethics of School or the PTA.

Sponsor agrees to uphold all conduct and ethics standards as dictated by the Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics.

The PTA Executive Board and/or principal can at any time elect to revoke sponsorship (without refund) for breach of any of the Code of Conduct or the Code of Ethics.

Potential sponsors may be evaluated on a range of criteria, which may include the company's ethic, environmental, and corporate social responsibility, its local position, its brand reputation and values, its public perception of such, its historic performance upholding these standards, and its history with the school and the PTA. The Peterson Elementary administration and PTA reserves the right to select or reject sponsors based on their alignment with the mission and core values of the district, the school, and the PTA. 

The Peterson Elementary administration and the PTA Board will review each potential sponsor for appropriate alignment. Final decisions will be made by the Peterson Elementary administration and the PTA Board.
